Singing to God arises from an inner attitude of love and faith. This attitude is present in our heart and it becomes more and more steady when it is the total response to one's life commitment to the personal call of God.
Song, as expression of our faith, connect ourselves with Jesus' Life in our communities and groups of The Movement of the Word of God. It is a beautiful way of communicating with God, and it is pleasant to God when love is what impels our voice.
We sing to the God that we experience, know and love! The song has life, because the Spirit gave us Life. The same songs without this Life, without expressing the inner reality that sustains them, would have neither force nor content.

A new songWe are exhorted to sing to the Lord a new song (Psal 149:1). The new man knows this new song. Singing is an expression of joy and, if we look more closely, to sing is an expression of love. So that who has learned to love the new life knows to sing the new song. And the new song make us think in what the new life is. The new man, the new song, the new Covenant: all belongs to the same and only Kingdom. Therefore, the new man will sing the new song, because he belongs to the new Alliance. «We are already singing», you say. You sing, yes, you sing, I hear you. But procure that your life don't give testimony against what your tongue sings. Sing with your voice, sing with your heart, sing with your mouth, sing with your customs: «Sing to the Lord a new song». You ask: what is what you will sing of who you love? You have already heard it: «Sing to the Lord a new song». You ask: What praises should we sing? «May your praise resonate in the assembly of the faithful». The praise of singing resides in the singer itself. Do you want to give praise to God? Be yourselves the song you are going to sing. You yourselves will be your praise, if you live in sanctity.
