Easter, foundational feast

The Easter of 1974 reunited almost 80 young people in a retreat of personal and communitarian prayer in Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina.

That foundational retreat (Easter I), revealed to them the experience of spontaneous group prayer and the taste for the praise to God, leaving its seal of inner freedom, conversion and evangelical joy.

Since then, The Movement of the Word of God has celebrated Easter with different retreats and 'jornadas' (full day encounters) during Holy Thursday, Friday and Saturday, to which all are invited.

As God's gift, in the Easter of 2008, 64 retreats were organized in 5 countries, attended by 8780 people, including 1300 children.

The Retreat's motto is the same one in all the sites and marks the year's particular approach.
