1983
Definitive times
|
As signs of the "definitive times of the Work", several meetings are
held for the development of non-consecrated branches of the Work: medical
doctors, teachers, young married couples and catechists of the Work.

New Feminine Nazaret
|
During a pastoral visit, a new feminine Nazaret community is established
in Córdoba. It is integrated by Viviana Ruffener and Lili Guita, as
internal members, and it is inaugurated on March 19th, St. Joseph's feast.
|
School of Services
|
As a complement to the School of Coordinators, a School of
Services starts functioning. Its aim is the formation for different
services, such as: Music and Songs, Intercession, Healing Prayer, Visit
to hospitals and sick people, Rural Missions and Handicrafts.
|
New domestic churches
|
In the definitive times of the Work, God's blessing, through the Sacrament
of Marriage, flows over the lives of brothers that have been praying
from the beginnings, living their vocation to devote to Church in
pastoral and professional services. In August, Carlos Yaquino and
Patricia Smiles, and Luis Samaniego and Cristina Cucchiara say "yes" to
married life in the New World.

1984
Anniversary "Convivencias"
|
(retreat of several days) On the occasion of celebrating the tenth
anniversary of the Work, four 'Convivencias' are carried out in February.
The pastoral team communicate the horizons of The Movement of the
Word of God, in the Church and in the world.

First School
|
The Movement takes over the direction of the first
School.
|
Foundation of 'Editorial de la Palabra de Dios'
|
On the Holy Saturday at our anniversary Easter, the foundation minutes
of 'Editorial de la Palabra de Dios' are written down. This is an
instrument of evangelization through the Word of God which concentrates
the efforts of the Movement regarding evangelization through written
word and Christian formation open to the whole Church. The material
provided by the Editorial, contributes specially with the different
newly born realities of the Work.

Mary's 'Jornada'
|
About a thousand brothers and sisters coming from the provinces, Capital
Federal, and Greater Buenos Aires gather to celebrate the feast af
Mary's Assumption at Quilmes town. In the morning, in the presence of
Father Bishop Jorge Novak, Fr. Ricardo expresses his commitment of
consecration to the Work, in front of the assembled community.

Nazarene Priests
|
On December 15 Mgr. Novak ordains the first priests of the Work, to the
service of the Church and the New World.

1985
Easter Retreats
|
The Movement celebrates the central feast of the Church, carrying out
thirteen Easter retreats. They are attended by 1800 young and adult
people, 820 of them come for the first time. A retreat oriented by the
Movement is held at San José School, in Cordoba. It is attended by 40
students' parents, teachers and some guests.

Gospel Groups
|
This is a way of evangelization designed for adult people. They meet to
share the experience of their way. There are 50 adults in Buenos Aires
and Quilmes, including a group of religious sisters.

1986
Mission to Rafaela
|
In January, 18 brothers and sisters from the Movement, together with
some others from the Church, go on mission to needy areas from that
diocese.
|
Gospel Groups
|
One of the fruits of Easter Retreats is the presence of numerous adults,
family parents, who start meeting as new Gospel Groups. After a
year of pastoral experience regarding this, in May the School for
Gospel Groups' Animators is started.

1987
Convivencias 1987
|
From 14 to 28 February two 'Convivencias' are carried out, under the
direction of the Central Pastoral Service of the Movement. The first
one (5 days) was attended by 200 young people, mostly coordinators of
Groups and Services, who came with 21 children. The second one (7 days)
was attended by 120 members and 39 children from the fifteen communities
of the Work. Thus it was possible for priests and consecrated members,
devoted married couples and families to share and to encounter God in
an atmosphere of mutual love and communitary enrichment. In those days
and to the light of the development of the Work, they were able to look
deeply into inner life, community, family and service, evangelization
of property, and the call for a Love Civilization.

New Pastoral Centres
|
The pastoral year brought the novelty of a new centre, resulting from
the growth of Quilmes. The division will be Quilmes Centro and
Quilmes Oeste - Berazategui.
|
Fruits of Easter
|
As part of the fruit of the fifteen Easter retreats held by The
Movement of the Word of God, we can thank God for: the beginning of
new prayer and Gospel groups; a new place of meeting established in
Haedo (Buenos Aires province); the strengthening of a prayer group and
the Confirmation Community Process in Florencio Varela; the
pastoral service in 'Nuestra Señora del Pilar' parish, in Córdoba.

Pastoral of Confirmation
|
The preparation of young people for the Sacrament of Confirmation,
through the method Communitarian Process for Confirmation, extends
from Avellaneda to Quilmes diocese (Santa Lucía parish, in Florencio
Varela). 305 young people are prepared and receive Confirmation
|
1988
Definitive canonical approval of the Work
|
On Sunday August 14, during Mary's yearly 'Jornada', Quilmes Bishop
Jorge Novak reads the decree of definitive canonical approval of the
Work. About 1500 brothers: young people, families, elder adults and 100
children participate of this beautiful and touching gift from Mary. At
the end of the evening Eucharist, Fr. Ricardo consecrates the Movement
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as a close to the Universal Marian Year
among us.

Life Communities
|
The Central Pastoral Service of the Work considered the initial period
of discernment on the first six Life Communities as being closed. Those
communities belong to the Centres: Janer (3), Devoto (1), South Area
(1) and Córdoba (1).

House in Wilde
|
With the contribution of brothers and God's Providence it was possible
to buy a new house in December. It is in Wilde, Avellaneda diocese.
|
1989
First Alliance Retreat
|
The first Alliance Retreat is held in January, and essential
aspects of the Charism spirituality are completed.
|
Nazaret Communities
|
The masculine community of Nazaret, consisting of five priests and
situated in Quilmes, moves to Florencio Varela town. There it collaborates
pastorally at the Santa Lucía parish.
That move gives further occasion to constitute a new Nazaret community
of consecrated lay women in Quilmes.
|
Pentecost in Rosario
|
Cecilia Di Fonzo, who is in charge of the mission in Rosario, travels
to that city for the celebration of Pentecost which is attended by 75
brothers. About a hundred brothers participate of the groups of the
Movement in Rosario.

1990
Mary's 'Jornada' in the West Zone
|
110 children and 800 brothers gather in Castelar to celebrate Mary's
Assumption. They come from Capital Federal, San Martín, Haedo, San Atilio
(Derqui), 50 come from Córdoba and 14 from Mar del Plata and Bahía Blanca.
The local bishop, Mgr. Laguna is present at the 'Jornada' and he talks
to the assembly inviting them to put the charism of the Work to the
service of the Pastoral Lines for a New Evangelization, which is
being promoted by the Church in Argentina. In the afternoon Fr. Ricardo
celebrates the Eucharist, accompanied by Fr. Oscar and Nazarene priests.

1991
New School
|
On the occasion of Mary's 'Jornada' in Castelar, the Movement receive
the news that they will take charge of the Sagrado Corazón School
in that town. The news is received with joy and applause by everybody
present.

Pastoral Changes
|
Avellaneda Loreto: This Pastoral centre is divided in three,
Avellaneda Catedral and Lanús are separated. The young
that cannot be served in the prayer groups there, continue developing
groups of 'Way in the Word'. Quilmes Oeste: The mission zone
Berazategui separates from this Pastoral Centre. Groups in
Paraná: Our brother Ricardo and our sister Mercedes together with
other brothers have being visiting the new pastoral reality in Paraná.
There are two groups that meet there, and are making a process of
evangelization, prayer and community.

1992
Beginning of the New Time of Foundation
|
Time of transition to the institutional adulthood of the Movement.
|
Approval in Buenos Aires
|
By resolution of 21 February, the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires notifies
the Movement of its approval "ad experimentum" for three years.
|
Visit to Paraguay
|
The week following the Easter Retreat, Fr. Ricardo travels to Paraguay.
There it has occasion to visit and to know the
Evangelical
Sisterhood of Mary, founded by Basilea Schlink. This sisterhood,
of religious votes, constitutes one more note of the pass of the Spirit
in Christian Churches, impelled to a greater evangelical authenticity
and the ecumenical search of unity.
