Gestation of the Work
|
In September the first experience of spontaneous group prayer takes
place in two retreats given by Fr. Ricardo to
students of a religious secondary girlschool.

1974
Easter I Retreat
|
In April the first Easter Retreat takes place,
and this was later on recognized as the birth of the Work. The youth
prayer groups start.

Pastoral School gestation
|
Discovery of the group prayer process and gestation of the Pastoral School.

1975
Gestation in Córdoba
|
In August a spiritual retreat is held in Córdoba, with the girls of the
prayer group of fourth and fifth grade. This group starts growing in
Spirit and in number of participants.

Cristo Vive Aleluia! comes out
|
The first issue of the Cristo Vive Aleluia! magazine, which
reflects the spirituality of the Movement, comes out in September.

First calls to Nazaret
|
The first calls for a lay consecrated life, called
Nazaret in the Work, appear
in December.
|
1976
Cursillo of Evangelization
|
The first Cursillo of Evangelization, source of the identity and
spirituality of the Movement, is carried out in January.
|
Easter III
|
About 200 young university and secondary students celebrate together
Jesus' Easter, at Villa Marista, Pilar. This is the third Easter retreat
of brotherly love, personal meditation and community prayer that the
Lord blesses on his passing by. We are accompanied by 11 brothers and
sisters coming from Córdoba Centre.

First prayer group for adults
|
In May, a prayer group for adults starts in Flores, with 23 family
parents and 3 religious sisters from Janer community. Apart from their
weekly meeting, on the second Sunday of each month, after the Parent's
Mass, they meet at a prayer assembly with the brothers and sisters
from the other two groups who gather there on Sundays, thus making
Christ's Church visible.

1977
First Masculine Nazaret
|
On July 1, by God's grace, through the support of many brothers and the
favour of The Holy Family Sisters, Masculine
Nazaret comes into existence in Buenos Aires. This functions as
Seat of the Movement, and is open to brothers' needs.

1978
Pre-prayer groups
|
Following the steps that the Lord shows to the Work, 30 young people,
ages 14 and 15, start meeting in the so called pre-prayer groups,
to share the fruit of their Christian life. Some of them meet at Nuestra
Señora de la Misericordia, in Devoto, and others meet in Flores, at
Ana M. Janer School.

1979
First coordinators retreat
|
On February 19, 20, and 21 the first Retreat for Coordinators of the
Movement is arranged. The celebrations of the Eucharist and the prayers
help to fix in the shepherds' hearts and minds a renewed commitment to
surrender their lives for the "lambs".

The Songbook
|
As fruit of God's grace and the effort of the brothers from the Musical
Service, the Movement now has a songbook to praise God through songs.
Some of them belong to the inspiration given by God to several brothers
of the prayer groups of the Movement.

San Juan House
|
With the help of many brothers, work of repairing and cleaning are
carried out in this house that the Providence has given to the Movement,
so that it can be soon inaugurated.

1980
First Feminine Nazaret
|
On February 26 the first community of Feminine
Nazaret is settled in Buenos Aires, on the second floor of San Juan
House.
|
The Work at Quilmes
|
In March, Fr. Ricardo was incardinated at the diocese of Quilmes, as
vicar at the Cathedral. The first local Easter retreat was held at San
José School, and 70 young people gathered there. At the end, it was
blessed by the presence of the Bishop, Mgr. Novak, who addressed his
pastoral word to the youth. The fruit of this passing of the Lord were
the two groups that started meeting at the Cathedral.

Group at Santa Ana School
|
Coordinated by Daniel Rodríguez and Margarita Ridruejo, the brothers at
Nuñez carry out pastoral work at Santa Ana School. Some of the girls
there have started meeting to pray.

First calls to dedication
|
The first discernments are made of the call to dedication for married
couples (a conjugal way of commitment to God).
|
Mary's Jornada (full day meeting)
|
On August 24, about five hundred brothers of the Movement gather at the
Ateneo Ntra. Sra. de Lourdes (Quilmes Oeste). Among them there are 31
brothers specially coming from Cordoba. Mgr. Novak, Bishop of Quilmes,
celebrates the Mass, and welcomes the Movement at his diocese. The day
finishes with a prayer of all the community, praising God through Mary.

1981
Easter VIII
|
With the motto "Be faithful until death and I will give you the crown
of life" (Rev 2:10), 700 brothers of the Movement celebrate our
Lord's Death and Resurrection, gathering at six simultaneous Easter
retreats. Some brothers from Buenos Aires travel to Córdoba, where a
retreat is held for the first time. Some brothers from Mar del Plata
and Bahía Blanca attend the retreat here in Buenos Aires. At the close
of the retreat in Quilmes, Mgr. Novak addresses his pastoral word to
the congregation.

1982
Quilmes House
|
About mid-May, a prefabricated house is finally settled in Quilmes,
being the home of the second community of Masculine Nazaret. Fr. Ricardo
is part of this community, thus making explicit his dedication to the
Movement, granted by Mgr. Novak.
|
Ecclesiastical approval of the Work
|
During Mary's Jornada, Mgr. Novak reads the decree of provisional
canonical approval of the Work, and this is welcomed with joy and
thanksgiving by all the brothers gathered together around Mary.
